-Do not wear a tux before 6
-Do not correct another gentleman in public
-How to tie a proper windsor knot
From the lecture I learned many of the things that are expected of me in order to
present myself properly in society. Of those that I found most interesting were the thank
you notes, the table manner tips, and how to tie a tie.
I’ve kind of understood the idea that you should always give thanks to a person
you received a gift from, but the idea of sending notes was a nice idea to me. I would like
to try to attempt it to see if it makes others react more positively.
I have learned a lot from the part of the lecture on table manners, from how to
organize the utensils to how to properly use the napkin, I’m excited to try to try it out the
next time I got to eat.
Finally, I learned the steps to tying a tie. Although I haven’t completely mastered
the skill yet, I am looking forward to the day that I won’t have to ask for help in order to
tie it.
