MLK Day Event
Calling all past beaux and other young men!
Please join the men of Kappa Alpha Psi as we host an MLK Day event targeted toward young black men. The event will take place on Monday, January 16, 2012 at St. John Baptist Church in Camden, NJ. Philadelphia Inquirer Interviews Russell Forchion
Russell Forchion, a member of the 2011 beautillion class, was recently interviewed by the Philadelphia Inquirer. Forchion is a senior and transfer student at Hammonton High School and has quickly become a star player on the school’s football team. He scored three touchdowns in a recent game and led his team to a sweeping victory. Read the full article here.
Bennett Elected Vice President
2011 Beau Rashon Bennett was elected vice president of his senior class at Camden High School. Bennett is ranked #1 in his class. Excellent achievement!
Daaliya Wins Teen Arts Award
Congrats to 2011 Beau Jamir Daaliya! He won the Teen Arts Award 2011 for his outstanding artwork.
Forchion Scores Final Touchdown for Hammonton High
Russell Forchion, 2011 Kappa beau, scored Hammonton’s final touchdown in the fourth quarter when he broke a sweep and sprinted 82 yards for a score. Forchion, a transfer from Overbrook, showed speed rarely seen on past Hammonton teams. Forchion helped Hammonton beat Mainland Regional with a final score of 23-7. Beau Brandon McCleese finishes 7th in Track & Field Nationals
2011 Beau Brandon McCleese placed 7th in the javelin at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships. The six day competition was held in Wichita, Kansas and brought together athletes from around the country, ages 8-18. Athletes are only able to enter this championship after high performance at regional levels of the program. Many of today’s Olympic track and field stars began their careers by competing in this competition and we are extremely proud of Brandon for this high achievement.

23 Young Men to be Presented in South Jersey Beautillion
College bound high school juniors and seniors will receive scholarships and perform a waltz at the black-tie event hosted by the Burlington-Camden Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation, Inc. To read the full press release, click here.
